Poznan Airport served 1 271 757 passengers in 2009 -
according to our forecast, this number is very close to the result of 2008, when
1 274 500 passengers were served. So, a slight drop by 0,2% has been
recorded - it equals to almost 3 thousand travellers fewer in 2008. Our
average daily number of passengers amounted to 3 484, and the highest
number of 8 724 was recorded on 15th July 2009. A visible increase of passenger
traffic is observed in charter segment: 8,5% holidaymakers more chose
Poznan Airport than in 2008. Last year Lufthansa Airline launched a new daily
connection to Frankfurt, Jet Air offered domestic routes to Szczecin, Cracow and
Gdansk, Ryanair introduced summer flights to Barcelona-Reus and Wizz Air - to
Burges. New routes to Milan-Bergamo and Paris-Beauvais were announced by Wizz
Air, too.
